About

Orson Horchler is an artist from France who started making street art in Maine in 2011 under the name of Pigeon.

Central to his work is the question of belonging. As Pigeon, Horchler uses his art, presentations, community conversations and school workshops to confront the institutions, attitudes and laws that tell us we are not at home in the place we live.

Orson Horchler is also:

-A consultant and speaker on intercultural leadership and team building

-The owner of Bondeko, a construction company training asylum seekers in the high end trades.

-And the member of a world music band also named Bondeko, where immigrants to Portland learn from each other while fusing their musical traditions.

Horchler’s TED Talk: “Beyond Xenophobia: Building the Intercultural Team” will be published in May.
